We are residents of Elizabethtown, PA and enjoy offering our ‘home-away-from home’ to others to enjoy the beauty of Penns Creek and all the sights and sounds and tranquility it has to offer. Seasonal Rates are listed below. Please reach out to us about the dates you prefer based on the availability calendar and we can confirm your stay.

April 7 - June 18 Prime Fly-Fishing Season Nights 

$340.00/night minimum

• Minimum charge/booking is 3 nights, 4 adults
• An additional charge of $60/night /adult for a 5th and 6th adult
• Additional charges of $20/child/night above 4 adults
• There is a “Pet Fee” of $45 for 1 dog, $60 for 2 dogs. No more than 2 dogs are allowed in the cabin. No cats, please.

June 26 – July 3,  September 1- October 31

Early Summer and Fall

$220 /Night Flat Rate – Thursday, Friday & Saturday Nights

$195 /Night Flat Rate – Sunday through Wednesday Nights

• Pricing based on 4 adults OR 2 adults and 4 children
• Additional charge of $40 per night/adult/each for a 5th and 6th
• $20 per night/child for parties over 4 adults OR over 2 adults and 4 children
• There is a “Pet Fee” of $45 for 1 dog, $60 for 2 dogs. No more than 2 dogs are allowed in the cabin. No cats, please.

CABIN RULES & REGULATIONS

Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 12:00 unless other arrangements are made.

We provide all firewood. We provide one snow plowing per visit. If staying for 6 nights or more we will plow at no additional charge every 5 days as needed. Any additional plowing will be the financial responsibility of the guest. It is normally $50.00.

Guests are responsible for disposing of trash on a regular basis during their stay to avoid a build up of trash and to deter unwanted animals from breaking into the screened-in porch. This is extremely important when bears are not hibernating (mid-March – November). Trash can be consolidated into large heavy duty black garbage bags, taken down to the Union County Sportsmen’s Club and disposed into the dumpsters behind the Club. There is a box there where you can deposit the required $2.00 /bag.

DEPOSITS and CANCELLATION POLICY

Availability is often times limited during the highly desirable prime spring fishing season and autumn. Early booking for any time period is highly recommended. Check the “Cabin Availability” Page on our website.

A 50% deposit and an executed Lease Agreement is required upon booking your rental. The balance of your rental is due sixty (60) days prior to the onset of your rental period.
You may book a rental and make a deposit up to one year in advance. Priority is given to the current year’s to re-book the same time period for the following year.

If you’re booking is less than two (2) months from the rental period, payment in full will be due upon booking. We will hold your dates for seven (7) days after emailing you the Lease Agreement. We cannot block your rental on our calendars (website, Vrbo, etc.) until your deposit is received. If deposit is not made in a timely manner and another guest requests that time slot, we will send them a Lease Agreement with the understanding that if your payment is received prior to their payment, you will have the rental. If we receive their payment before yours then your check will be returned and you will lose your rental.

If you cancel your rental after making a deposit, we will try to rent your time to another guest. We may have to discount that time in order to fill it. If we are able to rent your time to another guest (1) we will refund your money up to the amount paid by the new guest OR (2) your deposit may be used for another future rental as our schedule accommodates. All rates are subject to change without notice, however; once your deposit is received, your rate will not change.

We cannot be responsible for weather and stream conditions for any rental period.

CABIN RENTAL RULES

Penns Creek Cabin may not be used for “PARTIES”. Late night (after 10 PM) boisterous conduct is not permitted. Although Penns Creek Cabin is somewhat secluded, we have neighbors within proximity of hearing loud voices and music and their rights must be respected.

Maximum occupancy must be strictly adhered unless prior arrangements with the owner are made.

Fireworks and use of firearms on the property is not permitted. There are places close by where you can use firearms for recreational use and legal hunting such as the Union County Sportsman’s Club or Bald Eagle State Forrest.

Fires are only permitted in the outside fire ring or in the indoor fireplace.

Please, no smoking inside the cabin. Smoking is permitted on the deck and outside. Please use ashtrays provided. Please clean your ashtrays before leaving the cabin. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE (THROW) CIGARETTE BUTTS or other litter on the grounds or anywhere in our special area. Help keep it as pristine as possible. Picking up litter during you fishing, hiking or biking excursions is appreciated. LITTERING OF ANY KIND IS PROHIBITED, PLEASE.

Wading boots must be removed before entering the cabin, especially ones with cleats or that are already wet.

Dogs (limit of 2) are permitted, however; there are additional charges. See our rates above.

As a guest, wild game hunting is permitted according to State Laws. Please respect our limited number of neighbor’s long-standing hunting areas.

Please respect the “No Trespassing” signs concerning hunting.

A “Cabin Use Manual” is provided to you prior to your rental.
PLEASE BE SURE TO REVIEW THIS MANUAL well in advance of your visit.
We have a copy at the cabin in a Green Notebook labeled so.

We reserve the right to terminate any rental where guests do not adhere to rental policies or guests that engage in illegal activity.

We do not provide paper towels nor paper plates so bring your own. We have proper plates, silverware, etc.
